SOB messaging is meant for team information, participation, and respectful communication. Everyone has a responsibility to help keep the program safe, especially when communicating with athletes who are minors.
1. Unacceptable behavior
- Harassment, bullying, hateful or threatening content, sexual content directed at minors, grooming, or intimidation.
- Impersonating a player, guardian, coach, or staff member.
- Sharing private athlete information, photos, addresses, phone numbers, or messages without authorization.
- Spam, scams, unwanted repeated contact, retaliation against people who report problems, or attempts to bypass access controls.
2. Reporting messages
In the SOB app, press and hold a message to use the reporting feature. Reports are saved for review by authorized administrators. For issues that cannot be reported in the app, contact us using the details below. The existing technical bug-report feature is not a substitute for reporting harassment or other safety concerns.
3. Blocking unwanted contact
In an individual conversation, use the Message Safety menu to block an account from sending new direct messages to you. Blocking does not replace emergency support, and it may not prevent essential official program communications that use separate authorized channels.
4. Adult-to-minor communication
Coaches and staff must keep conversations appropriate and focused on the program. Do not solicit secrecy, personal favors, private images, or non-program contact from young athletes. Athletes and guardians should report anything that feels unsafe or inappropriate. We may preserve information needed to investigate a concern and refer serious issues to appropriate authorities.
5. Review and enforcement
We may investigate credible reports, restrict communications, remove prohibited material, and suspend accounts when appropriate. A report is not itself a determination that misconduct occurred. We aim to restrict access to safety reports to personnel who need them for review and response.
